1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use renovationready.uk, create an account, use the free readiness check or buy access to the paid project workspace. By using the service, and by confirming your agreement before purchase, you agree to these terms.

Your contract is with Inqontrol Limited (company number 07536256), registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 69 St. Helens Park Road, Hastings, England, TN34 2JJ. Renovation Ready is our trading name.

2. What Renovation Ready provides

Renovation Ready is a self-service planning and record-keeping tool for UK homeowners. It includes a free readiness check and guidance, plus an optional paid workspace for one renovation project.

The workspace helps you organise budgets, rooms and finishes, quotations, decisions, changes, payments, snagging and handover information. It does not appoint, manage, verify or recommend builders or other professionals.

3. Important limits of the service

Renovation Ready is an organisational tool—not professional advice.

It is not a quotation, cost estimate, survey, design, specification, contract, legal opinion, tax advice, building-control approval or substitute for advice from a suitably qualified professional.

Outputs depend on the information you enter and the choices you make. You remain responsible for checking project figures, documents, dates, legal duties, permissions, insurance, contracts, payment evidence and professional advice before acting.

4. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
  • You must provide an email address you control and keep access to that mailbox secure.
  • Your account and founding access are for your own household renovation project and must not be resold, shared publicly or used to operate a competing service.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been accessed without permission.

5. Paid founding access

Founding access currently costs £39 as a one-off payment for one private renovation workspace. There is no recurring subscription. The total price payable is shown before you confirm payment in Stripe Checkout.

To purchase, you must be signed in, confirm your agreement to these terms and the refund policy, and request immediate access. Your order is accepted and access begins when Stripe confirms successful payment and we unlock the workspace. Stripe may email a payment receipt to the address linked to checkout.

Access is intended to continue for the reasonable life of the Renovation Ready service. It is not a promise that the service or every feature will exist forever. Sections 10 and 11 explain how material changes or closure would be handled.

6. Cancellation and refunds

We offer a straightforward 14-day money-back period from purchase. Full details, including how to request a refund and what happens to access, are in our Refund Policy.

This policy does not reduce any rights you have under consumer law. If digital content or a digital service is faulty, not as described or not supplied with reasonable care and skill, you may have additional remedies.

7. Your project information

You keep ownership of the information and material you enter. You give us a limited permission to host, copy, transmit and process it only as needed to provide, secure and support Renovation Ready.

The workspace includes backup and export features. Please keep your own current copy of important project records, contracts, approvals and evidence. Renovation Ready should not be the only place where irreplaceable information is stored.

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Notice.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the service unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
  • enter malicious code, probe security, bypass access controls or interfere with the service;
  • upload or record information you have no right to use, or content that infringes another person's rights;
  • scrape, copy, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the service except where the law expressly permits it; or
  • misrepresent Renovation Ready output as professional certification or advice.

9. Intellectual property

We or our licensors own the website, software, branding, structure, guidance and sample content, excluding your project information. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose while these terms apply.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Renovation Ready available and secure, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, security work, provider outages and events outside our reasonable control may interrupt the service.

We may improve, replace or remove features. If a change materially reduces paid functionality, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected customers and, where appropriate, provide time to export project information or another fair remedy.

11. Suspension and ending access

You may stop using Renovation Ready at any time and may ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, serious misuse, a legal requirement or a material breach of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to fix the issue.

If we permanently close the paid service for business reasons, we will give reasonable notice where possible and provide a way to export project information. Any refund or other remedy will take account of the access already provided and your statutory rights.

12. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow us to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information you enter, decisions made without appropriate professional checks, a builder or third party, or events outside our reasonable control.

Renovation Ready is supplied for personal and domestic use. We are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, lost revenue, lost opportunity or business interruption.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law that applies where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Please email contact@renovationready.uk first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service, legal or security changes. The date above shows the latest version. If a material change affects existing paid customers, we will provide reasonable notice before it takes effect.
