1. Who is responsible for your information?

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address, account identifier and sign-in records.
  • Renovation information: the project details you choose to enter, such as property description or location, budgets, quotations, room plans, suppliers, decisions, changes, payments, snagging and handover notes.
  • Payment information: payment status, amount, currency and Stripe transaction identifiers. Stripe processes your card details; we do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Messages: emails, support requests and other communications you send to us.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device information, request records and security logs generated when the service is used.
  • Device-only information: readiness answers are stored in your browser. An older project created before account-only saving may remain on that device until you import or remove it.

We normally receive this information directly from you. We also receive account information from Supabase and payment status information from Stripe when they provide those services to us.

3. Why we use it

Provide your account and workspace

To sign you in, save and sync your project, check paid access, provide downloads and respond to support requests.

Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
Take and administer payments

To open Stripe Checkout, confirm payment, grant access, handle refunds and keep transaction records.

Lawful basis: performance of our contract and compliance with legal obligations.
Keep the service safe and reliable

To prevent fraud and misuse, investigate faults, protect accounts and defend legal claims.

Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in operating a secure service.
Meet legal and regulatory duties

To keep accounting records, respond to lawful requests and exercise or defend our legal rights.

Lawful basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your renovation project to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Who we share information with

We use carefully selected service providers only where needed to run Renovation Ready:

  • Supabase for passwordless authentication.
  • OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for website hosting, protected project storage and service delivery.
  • Stripe for checkout, payment processing, fraud prevention and refunds. Stripe also processes information under its own privacy notice when acting as a payment provider.
  • Hosting, content-delivery and security providers, including the infrastructure used by OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, to serve and protect the website.
  • Email delivery providers used to send secure sign-in links and service messages.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.

We do not allow service providers to use project information for their own marketing.

5. International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses. You may contact us for more information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

6. How long we keep information

Account and project dataWhile your account is active, then deleted or anonymised when you ask us to close it, subject to backups and legal requirements.
Deleted project dataRemoved from the live project service promptly. Limited technical recovery copies may persist for the provider’s applicable recovery period before they expire.
Payment and accounting recordsNormally six years after the end of the relevant financial year.
Support communicationsNormally up to two years after the matter is closed, unless needed for a dispute or legal obligation.
Security logsNormally up to 12 months, with longer retention only when needed to investigate an incident.

7. Browser storage and cookies

Renovation Ready uses browser storage and strictly necessary technologies to keep your sign-in session, save your readiness answers, remember essential service state and protect the website. Signed-in project data is stored against your account rather than in a shared browser project cache.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or optional analytics cookies. Stripe may use its own cookies and similar technologies when you visit its hosted checkout page; Stripe explains those technologies in its own cookie policy.

8. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, provide it in a portable format or consider an objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Your right to object: you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. We will stop unless we have compelling legitimate reasons to continue or need the information for legal claims.

Email contact@renovationready.uk to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity. You can also delete your active project from the workspace settings and download a backup first.

If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to resolve the issue first.

9. Children and changes to this notice

Renovation Ready is intended for adults managing a home renovation and is not directed at children. Please do not enter information about children unless it is genuinely necessary for your project record.

We will review this notice as the service changes. If an important change affects how we use existing personal information, we will provide a clear notice before the change takes effect.
